I was going to end up dead like the others. Just another fake name, that would inevitable be thrown in the gutter by my ‘co-workers’; the other hookers like myself. Even with that knowledge at the forefront of my brain, it felt like I was running with led weight in my heels as I ran for my life; for the fourth time. I was so expertly groomed by another young female. My second pimp made me truly grasp the techniques of manipulation through fear. I was kept in a basement and tortured with the threat of death, dismemberment, rape and the possibility of being sold to another pimp. The pimp would make nooses in front of me and heat up hot knives waving them in my face during his drug fueled interrogations.
